The first Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa is being played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. Today was the first day of the match. RSA, while batting first scored 248 runs for loss of 10 wickets. Bangladesh scored 7 runs in 2 overs with loss of no wicket.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat, but they probably regretted the decision later as the entire team was bowled out for 248 runs in just 83.4 overs. Temba Bavuma (54) was the highest scored for RSA. Not any other player could score even a fifty.

Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman took 4 wickets for his team while Jubair Hossain got 3 wickets.

India vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20: Zimbabwe won by 10 runs

Ending the long series of defeats, Zimbabwe has won the second T20 match against India. The match was played at Harare Sports Club, Harare on Sunday, July 19. Zimbabwe, while batting first, scored 145 runs in 20 overs while India could score 135 runs and lost by 10 runs. The T20 series ended in a tie (1-1).

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat first. The team started well with the opener Chamu Chibhabha scored 67 runs of 51 balls. Zimbabwe team scored 145 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohit Sharma, each took 2 wickets for India.

England vs Australia 2nd Test, Day 3: Australia lead by 362 runs

On third day of the 2nd Test match between England and Australia, England scored 227 more runs and lost their remaining 6 wickets. Australia is now playing their 2nd innings and have already scored 108 runs in 26 runs with no wicket loss. The guests are now leading by 362 runs.

England continued its first innings match from where they left off after 2nd day. Cook was playing at 21 and Stokes at 38 runs. England was 85 for 4. Both Alastair Cook (96) and Ben Stokes (87) played for long and contributed runs for their team, but none other player could play noticeable innings for England. The whole team collapsed for 312 runs.

Both Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Johnson got 3 wickets each for Australia.

The 2nd Test match of the Ashes, 2015 Test series is being played at Lord's stadium, London. The second day of the match is officially over and England (85/4) is trailing by 481 runs behind Australia. Australia scored 566 runs in its first innings.

Australia continued from their first day match with Chris Rogers (158) and Steven Smith (129) at the crease and 337 runs at the scoreboard. The second wicket of Australia fell in the form of Chris Rogers at 362. Rogers and Smith contributed a partnership of 284 runs. Steven Smith, however remained at the crease for longer and scored 215 runs in 346 balls. Australia declared their innings at 566 runs after 149 overs.

Stuart Broad took 4 wickets for England.

Axar Patel has been chosen the Man of the Match for his 3/17 in 4 overs.

The first T20 match of the two T20 match series between India and Zimbabwe was played today at Harare Sports Club, Harare. The first day of the 2nd Test match between England and Australia is over. Australia has scored 337 runs with the loss of just one wicket in 90 overs played today. Chris Rogers is playing at 158 while Steven Smith is not out at 129 runs.

The 2nd Test match in the ongoing Ashes series started on Thursday, 16th July. Australia won the toss and chose to bat. Opener David Warner scored 38 runs of 42 balls and was caught by Anderson. Chris Rogers (158) and Steven Smith (129) are still batting and will continue the Australia Innings tomorrow. 90 overs of match were played today.

Champions League T20 (CLT20) tournament discontinued

The Champions League T20 tournament has been discontinued with immediate effect because of the poor demand and user base. BCCI, on Wednesday confirmed that an agreement has been reached by the Governing Council of CLT20 to discontinue the tournament with immediate effect.

CLT20, which was a joint venture of BCCI, Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Cricket Australia (CA), could not find enough sponsors or fans to be continued any longer. The fan base was poor since the very beginning of this tournament in 2009 and now, the hosts are even struggling to find sponsors. The decision was taken unanimously by all three host associations.

Anurag Thakur, Secretary of the BCCI said, “This has been a difficult decision as the Champions League T20 provided added context to a number of domestic Twenty 20 competitions around the world such as the IPL in India, Big Bash League in Australia and South Africa’s Ram Slam T20. "

After this decision, the upcoming edition of CLT20, scheduled in September and October, will be discarded.

CLT20 was not reportedly drawing enough attraction of audience from any country other than India and this was not good for the business. BCCI, though gave a hint of organizing a 'mini-IPL' to be played in the UAE to replace the discontinued CLT20.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 2nd ODI: Sri Lanka won by 2 wkts

The 2nd ODI match of the series was played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on Wednesday, July 15 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. Sri Lanka won this match by 2 wickets in the second last over of the match. The target was of 288 runs.

Kusal Perera has been chosen the Man of the Match for scoring 68 runs in 25 balls. He gave his team the strong start Sri Lanka needed at the time.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat and played well. Opener Azhar Ali scored 79 runs of 104 balls and gave a solid base to next players. Shoaib Malik (51) and Mohammad Rizwan (52) scored fifties and Pakistan team, in total scored 287 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. The target was of 288 runs, which was not less in any terms, but Sri Lanka managed to chase it somehow.

The game was in the control of hosts from the moment they started batting until last 10 overs by the time they lost all important wickets. Opener Kusal Perera scored the highest 68 runs in just 25 balls. Dinesh Chandimal (wk), who came at sixth position remained at the crease till the end and took the game back from the jaws of Pakistan.

Bangladesh has won the third and final match of the 3-match ODI series against South Africa. The team has also won the ODI series with 2-1. Bangladesh team, which is not counted as very big in terms of International cricket, has shown some great performances, first against Pakistan, then India and now, against South Africa. Bangladesh has already won the 2nd ODI match and now, this one. South Africa looked really small in this game and performed bad both with ball and bat.

The match was reduced to 40 overs due to rain. Soumya Sarkar has been chosen the Man of the Match for his 90 runs of 75-balls.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first, but couldn't do much with the bat. They could only score 168 runs in 40 overs and lost 9 wickets. Jean-Paul Duminy (51) remained the highest scorer while David Miller (44) scored second highest for RSA.

Soumya Sarkar did the job and won the game for his team with 9 wickets remaining.

India vs Zimbabwe, 3rd ODI: India won by 83 runs

India has won the third and last ODI match in the 3-match series against Zimbabwe. The match was played on Tuesday, July 14 at Harare Sports Club, Harare. India has also won the ODI series with 3-0. Kedhar Jadhav has been chosen the Man of the Match for his 105 runs of 87 balls.

Ambati Rayudu is the Man of the Series.

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to field first and gave India a golden opportunity to score big while playing first. Indians played really well, not all but some of them. Openers couldn't do very well, but Manish Pandey (71) and Kedar Jadhav (105) scored big and gave India a solid score of 276 runs. The team lost 5 of its wickets.
Zimbabwe couldn't do well with the ball. Neville Madziva got 2 wickets.

Zimbabwe was given the target of 277 runs, but they could only score 193 runs and lost all 10 wickets in 42.4 overs. Chamu Chibhabha scored the highest 82 runs.

Stuart Binny took 3 wickets while Mohit Sharma, Axar Patel and Harbhajan Singh got 2 wickets each.

CSK, RR suspended from IPL for two years

The Supreme court of India appointed Lodha panel has suspended IPL franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for two years after being charged in connection with the betting and spot-fixing scandals in the IPL.

Both IPL teams will not be able to participate in any IPL event for next two year. The committee also banned Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra for life from all BCCI-related cricket activities. Both of them were charged with the involvement in betting activities during IPL 2013. Players of the banned  franchises will not be affected with this ban and are still free to be a part of any of the remaining teams if chosen.

"The players are free. They will not be attached to a particular team of the franchise that is suspended. We thought that cricket is bigger than individuals and body andindividuals, then the financial loss to players and franchises is not of significance," Justice Lodha said.

The decision was taken based on the findings of the Mukul Mudgal panel. A committee was formed by the Supreme court of India comprising former Chief Justice of India, RM Lodha and ex-judges Ashok Bhan and RV Raveendran to define "the quantum of punishment, if any, to be imposed on Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra and also their respective franchises."

Justice Mukul Mudgal said that the decision has been taken for the best of the IPL. This may cause a temporary setback, but will have a positive long-term impact on players, administrators & others. "There will be a temporary setback but the game of cricket will be back cleaner. People will have more faith in cricket now," he said.

Well, the audience might get a little disappointed knowing that they will not be seeing their popular CSK and RR teams for next two IPLs. Both RR and CSK have been former champions in the IPL games and it will definitely affect the outcomes of the upcoming series without them.

The 2nd ODI match of the series between Bangladesh and South Africa was played on Sunday, July 12 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. While batting first, RSA scored 162 runs that were chased by Bangladesh in 27.3 overs with 7 wickets remaining. Bangladesh won this match by 7 wickets.

Soumya Sarkar has been the Man of the Match for his 88 runs of 79-balls.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat and were surprisingly bowled out for just 162 runs. It were both the poor batting of RSA players and the brilliant batting performance of Bangladeshi players. Not a single player could score a fifty for South Africa. RSA scored 162 runs in 46 overs with the loss of 10 wickets.

The bowling performance of Bangladeshi players was extraordinary. Mustafizur Rahman and Nasir Hossain got 3 wickets each while Rubel Hossain took 2 wickets.

The 2nd ODI match between India and Zimbabwe took place of Sunday, July 12. India, while batting first, scored 271 runs for 9 wickets. Zim team could only score 209 runs and lost all its wickets. India won this match by 62 runs. India has already won the 3 ODI series by 2-0.

Murali Vijay has been chosen the Man of the Match for his 72 of 95 balls.

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to field and definitely regretted it later. India batted first and scored 271 runs with the help of Rahane (63) and Murali Vijay (63)'s fifties. Ambati Rayudu score 41 runs in 50 overs. The team lost 8 wickets and scored 271 runs in 50 overs.

England vs Australia, 1st Test: England won by 169 runs

The first Test match in the Ashes 2015 Test series if over and England has won the match by 169 runs. On the last day of match, Australia had to score 411 runs to win this match, but the whole team was out for just 242 runs. Joe Root has been chosen the Man of the Match.

Honestly, Australia was not in the game from the first day itself. England scored 430 runs in their first innings while Aus could only score 308 runs and was left behind by 122 runs after first innings. In the 2nd innings, England couldn't do much with the bat and the entire team was out for 289 runs thus making a lead of 411 runs in total. Australia had to make 412 runs to win this match with two days and 10 wickets remaining, but they couldn't. England team bowled exceptionally well and sent back the whole Australia team back for just 242 runs and won this match by a whopping 169 runs.

In its second innings, Australia performed even worse than their first innings. Only Mitchell Johnson (77) and David Warner (52) could reach at the score of 50+ in the 2nd innings. England's bowling was extraordinary where Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali got 3 wickets each and Mark Wood and Joe Root also got 2 wickets each.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 1st ODI: Pak won by 6 wkts

The first ODI of the series was played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on Saturday, July 11. Pakistan won the toss and chose to field. Sri Lanka, while playing first, scored 255 runs for loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Pak chased the target with 4.4 overs remaining and won the match by 6 wickets.

Sri Lanka batted first and played not bad as all players scored some runs in the total score with the highest contribution from Dinesh Chandimal of 65 runs in 68 balls. The team could score 255 runs in 8 wickets, which didn't team too low at the time. 

Mohammad Hafeez took 4 wickets while Rahat Ali got 2 wickets for Pakistan.

The T20 match was played at Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh. Netherlands won the toss and chose to field first, but probably regretted it later as Afghanistan scored well while batting first. Afghanistan team made 162 runs with the run rate of 8+ runs per over and lost 7 wickets. Samiullah Shenwari was the highest scorer who made 44 runs out of 42 balls. Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran both contributed 33 runs individually.

Netherlands, while playing second tried to chase down the target, but couldn't due to some poor batting performances. Although Ben Cooper scored respectable score of 36 runs for 23 balls, not any other player could score big enough to reach the target.
