In the 2nd innings, England couldn't do much with the bat and the entire team was out for 289 runs thus making a lead of 411 runs in total. Australia had to make 412 runs to win this match with two days and 10 wickets remaining, but they couldn't. England team bowled exceptionally well and sent back the whole Australia team back for just 242 runs and won this match by a whopping 169 runs.

In its second innings, Australia performed even worse than their first innings. Only Mitchell Johnson (77) and David Warner (52) could reach at the score of 50+ in the 2nd innings. England's bowling was extraordinary where Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali got 3 wickets each and Mark Wood and Joe Root also got 2 wickets each.
